Who we are...

We are the descendants of Marie Ursule Francois of Arcahaie, Haiti. Ursule (affectionately known as "Tante Sousoule") was the 7th of 8 children born to Ignace Francois and Merci Valme on September 19, 1910 in Arcahaie, Haiti. Her father Ignace, was a prominent district judge and a respected leader in the community. Ursule was the most driven, and hard working among all of her sibblings, and came to symbolize the pillar of the family. She married Nerilus StFleur and had 5 children: Marie Ange, Jacqueline, Wilfrid, Antonine and Max; and out of those 5 children and stepchildren, came this current generation. Today, our families have settled in the United States, Europe, Canada, and the Caribbean. Listed below is a short narrative of our family history. Please note that this list is not complete and that I have only listed 1st and 2nd generations here.

1.  MARIE URSULE FRANCOIS  (IGNACE1) was born in Arcahaie, Haiti, and died in Miami, Florida.  She married NERILUS ST FLEUR in Arcahaie.  He died in Haiti.

2.  ANNE MARIE-ANGE ST FLEUR (MARIE URSULE FRANCOIS) was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.  She married MORRIS MERCIDIEU EVARISTE, son of AURELIEN EVARISTE and LORISNA EVARISTE.  He was born in Bizoton, Haiti.

3.  JACQUELINE ST FLEUR (MARIE URSULE FRANCOIS) was born in Arcahaie, Haiti.  She married CHERILHOMME CLAUDE, son of PERTULAN CLAUDE and ANICIA CLAUDE.  He was born  in Colline, Haiti.

Children of JACQUELINE ST FLEUR and CHERILHOMME CLAUDE are:

4.  WILFRID ST FLEUR (MARIE URSULE FRANCOIS, IGNACE) was born in Arcahaie, Haiti.  He married MARIE-LOUISE CONTOUT daughter of ALBERT CONTOUT and LALOUPPE LORETTE.  She was born  in French Guyana.

5.  ANNE MARIE ANTOINE ST FLEUR (MARIE URSULE FRANCOIS, IGNACE1) was born in Arcahaie, Haiti, She married OSSE MOLIERE, son of DUPRINCE MOLIERE and AMISE SENEUS.  He was born in Lazil in Petit Troup de Nip, Haiti.

6.  ANTOINE ANDRE MAX ST FLEUR (MARIE URSULE FRANCOIS, IGNACE1) was born in Arcahaie, Haiti.  He married (2) SOLANGE PETION, daughter of RENE DEGAN and CARMEN PETION.  She was born in Arcahaie, Haiti.
